Q & A
1) Have you had to adapt your studio/home/space to be more suitable to your practice during this time?
Our second bedroom in our home serves as my studio / office and has since our move to Parksville 4 years ago.
2) Can you describe your daily/weekly art practice, anything that you do differently because your studio is in such proximity?
Nothing has changed as I have been self-employed for many years. The only difference is not getting out and doing my artist in residence at local galleries.
Now I am an ‘artist in my own residence’.
3) Has this time of self-isolation changed your practice in any way?
It’s been a time of reflection.
4) What is your favourite part about your home-studio?
I love that my dog Chace comes in, lays down on his bed and watches paint dry.
5) Do you have any goals of creativity for this time?
I am working on my techniques for teaching classes.
6) Any messages you would like to share with everyone during this time?
Try to stay positive and be kind to yourself.
