Linda Lewis is a ceramic, printmaking and installation artist. She has spent the last 2 years in Qualicum Beach attempting to explore what retirement might look like. Needless to say it has not been the transition one might hope for in "ordinary" times.
How Fragile We Are
This is a piece about fragility. It’s made of fired clay and human hair.
It’s about life, about relationships, about the environment, about mental health and so on.
This is not an admonition to be strong. It’s not about solving or defeating or having hope.
It’s not stoneware. Nor is it food or dishwasher safe.
It’s a piece about fragility.
