Photorealistic painter of West Coast landscapes. Kelly takes this variety of landscape painting and elevates it, creating luminous works that make us feel like we are in the presence of nature as it unfolds its secrets.

From Kelly:

"Extent", defined as a measure of size and space. I chose this title to reflect two aspects: one, that I create large scale realistic paintings; and two, that these paintings depict some of the vast and varied landscapes of British Columbia (with a focus on the West Coast). As a realist painter my motivation is to share my visual experiences. To create paintings that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that exists in British Columbia. My style invites the viewer to recall their own past adventures and relive the sights and scents of BC’s natural environment. Through my artwork I try to bring the outside in, to pay tribute the natural world and remind us how rewarding it can be to take the time to reconnect with nature.
